If you have to be to work by 8am it’s going to be difficult to get the required amount of sleep if you’re not going to bed until 2 or 3 in the morning. When I stay up too late I find it very difficult to stay awake the next day. If you take sleeping pills to help you go to sleep, or to help you sleep through the night, it’s probably recommended to allow yourself at least 8 hours of sleep, so you don’t wake up tired and groggy.
I try to go to bed at a decent hour each night so I can devout at least 6-8 hours of sleeping time. A couple of things to remember if you want to have a restful night’s sleep. First, don’t eat a huge meal right before you go to bed. Another thing to remember is that the more liquids you consume, the more you are going to need to get up durning the night to relieve yourself. Try and sleep in a dark, cool room. Set an alarm so you aren’t waking up all through the night worried that you are going to sleep in and miss that important meeting.
